Payal Salsburg Recognized for Advocacy

It is heartwarming to read Boston CASA’s recent coverage highlighting our partner Payal Salsburg and her tireless work as a volunteer. They most specifically call out her work and advocacy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Payal also gives her time as a Board Member of CASA, an independent nonprofit that recruits, trains and supports volunteer child advocates.

We join CASA in applauding Payal for her work as a COVID Volunteer at Mass General Hospital transporting COVID-19 patients to and from their rooms for tests, and to and from their cars for appointments. Her work allowed the hospital staff to remain in sterile areas and avoid having to change precious PPE that was in such short supply. Following the vaccination roll-out, Payal pivoted her volunteering to the MA COVID Vax Help, an organization that assists people in accessing and making appointments for the COVID-19 Vaccine.

We are fortunate to witness Payal’s advocacy first hand, watching her help the people who need help most, but never expecting anything in return.  We offer a very special and sincere thank you to Payal!
