Jessica Conklin Speaks on Boston Bar Association Panel

Jessica Conklin presented as a panelist for a recent Boston Bar Association virtual program entitled, “Your Path to Success– Finding Your Career Path at the BBA Career Fair and Beyond.” Jessica and her panelists helped students to prepare for participating for the BBA’s inaugural Career Fair taking place on Thursday, October 20 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at District Hall in the Boston Seaport District. The Career Fair provides a space for roughly 150 law students from the BBA’s five partner law schools—in particular, students of color and from historically underrepresented backgrounds—to meet with hiring representatives from small and mid-sized law firms in Boston with practices spanning multiple specialties and industries, including both litigation and transactional practices, outside the traditional OCI process.

Jessica Conklin Moderates White Collar Crime Conference Program

Jessica Conklin is moderating a panel for the Boston Bar Association’s White Collar Crime Conference on Thursday, May 5th at the Aloft Hotel in Boston. She is joined by leaders in the industry from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Criminal Bureau of the MA Office of the Attorney General, and White Collar Crime attorneys to discuss Charging and Sentencing.

Leaders from across the state, including law firm defense counsel, government prosecutors, in-house counsel, judges, and industry professionals come together in person for this signature event to get timely guidance and analysis on recent white-collar crime cases and practice developments.

 

Jessica Conklin Moderates Beyond Email: Fact Development in the Digital Age

Jessica Conklin is moderating a Boston Bar Association webinar entitled: “Beyond Email: Fact Development in the Digital Age.” Jessica is joined by attorneys in private practice as well as lawyers from the US Attorney’s Office and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. She will engage the panelists in a conversation that explores the newest areas of electronic discovery. Some areas the group will explore include social media accounts, wearables, and cell phone data. This program is sponsored by the BBA’s White-Collar Crime Section and takes place on April 12th from 12-1pm.

Jessica Conklin Appointed to White Collar Crime Conference Advisory Committee

Jessica Conklin was appointed to the Boston Bar Association’s 2022 Advisory Committee for its annual White Collar Crime Conference. Jessica Conklin Achieves ATIXA Certification for Title IX Hearing Advisors

Jessica Conklin completed the ATIXA certification program for Title IX Hearing Advisors. ATIXA is an independent not-for-profit corporation that serves as a professional association for school and college Title IX coordinators, investigators, and administrators that explores best practices, establishes industry standards, shares resources and advanced the worthy goal of gender equity in education.ATIXA Title IX Hearing Advisor Certification This ATIXA certification establishes the important understanding of Title IX resolution procedures.

Jessica’s experience includes establishing expectations surrounding both investigations and hearings, uncovering bias and conflict of interest concerns surrounding allegations of Title IX, as well as the full scope of cross-examinations and appropriate interactions with the hearing chair during this tenuous scenario.
