Brendan Cox is the trial attorney you want for complex civil and criminal matters. Having tried over 100 cases in state and federal courts over the course of his career, Brendan is known for successfully defending high-stakes, difficult cases where others fail to deliver results. He is a versatile advocate who counsels businesses and individuals to build strong cases that provide maximum protection and minimize serious risks.

In his business litigation practice, Brendan advises companies of all sizes, emerging businesses, C-Suite executives, and entrepreneurs across many industries. Applying impressive trial experience and persuasive reasoning to resolve sophisticated matters, Brendan quickly integrates a strong understanding of his clients’ business goals and styles into his strategic, defensive techniques. The hallmark of his practice lies in his ability to take complex concepts and effectively break down the facts for juries while also facilitating manageable decision-making for clients.

In addition to managing a full caseload of trial court matters, Brendan also serves as a business advisor to companies on a range of matters such as employment agreements, business law, contracts, and intellectual property concerns. Often operating as virtual in-house counsel, Brendan guides clients through important decisions to drive growth in compliant and creative ways. He also counsels start-up companies through the entity selection process, drafts founder agreements, develops operational policies, and devises business game plans. Brendan’s clients appreciate his ability to seamlessly join forces with them, offering practical advice that directly impacts the success of an organization.

Brendan’s extensive criminal defense experience includes litigating all aspects of the criminal process from probable cause hearings and arraignments through complex evidentiary motions and trial. Brendan represents clients on a wide range of matters including minor misdemeanors through serious, lifechanging felonies.

Prior to joining the firm, Brendan was in private practice where he spent extensive time defending clients in state and federal courts. He has deep business experience acquired while running his own firm and gained hands-on business litigation and intellectual property litigation experience as an associate in a large international law firm. Brendan also served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Suffolk County division of the Massachusetts District Attorney’s office. All of these experiences come together as the foundation to his outstanding track record at trial.
