Eric M. Sigman


Eric Sigman focuses his practice in business law, with a particular concentration on franchise law, guiding clients through corporate formation, capitalization, succession planning, commercial leasing, and mergers and acquisitions. Clients rely upon Eric’s strong organizational and problem solving skills that make his transactional work stand out.

In his franchise practice, Eric handles franchise agreement negotiations, franchise disclosure document analysis and review, commercial real estate, retail leasing, corporate formation and any related business counseling. His clients look to his wide range of experience helping to establish retail franchises across the country.

In his business law practice, Eric counsels clients with mergers and acquisitions, asset and stock purchases, buy-sell agreements, corporate formation, partnership agreements and other general corporate matters.

Eric is a graduate of the University of Vermont and Suffolk University School of Law. While at the University of Vermont, Eric was an award-winning, Division 1 soccer player.

Representative Experience

  • Works with entrepreneurs to establish ownership in retail franchises of all sizes and styles.
  • Helped client to establish a chain of six frozen yogurt storefronts across Massachusetts. Helped client with all aspects of purchasing the chain, negotiating the franchise agreements, established corporate structure, employment and real estate matters.
  • Represent businesses in corporate formation, partnership agreements and general day-to-day legal needs of establishing a successful business.
  • Advise clients in mergers and acquisitions, stock purchases and other buy/sell arrangements.
  • Handling commercial real estate leasing for clients in the retail and office industries.
